Rosettes Direct has joined the growing list of companies lining up to support SAMS, the revolutionary ‘Scrap Art Material Store’ based in Blackburn.

SAMS takes off-cuts and seconds that were destined for the skip from businesses across the county and recycles them to provide scrap art materials to schools, nurseries and community groups.

Now the UK's leading rosettes manufacturer has given the store a vast selection of ribbons, bows and rosettes free of charge.

David Wallace, managing director of Rosettes Direct said: “SAMS is such a fantastic resource that we were more than happy to donate materials when we were approached. Rather than simply throw away perfectly good material, SAMS seemed like the ideal placed for it be used.

“It’s great for us to know that school children and craft groups will be able to make good use of material that would have been destined for the bin.”

Joanne Mason, manager of SAMS, says: “We’re really grateful to David and the team at Rosettes Direct. As a not-for-profit organisation we rely on the generosity of the business community, so every donation is extremely well received.”

SAMS is open to all types of groups with membership fees ranging from £10.00 for an individual student up to £30.00 a year for a non-voluntary organisation or school. Members then pay just £10 for each full trolley load of materials.
